Early in the spring I launched my first Ecourse, Parenting with Positive Guidance, bringing the material from my live classes right to your computer, wherever you are, and whenever it fits into your schedule. I was very pleased with the way the first round went, and I’m excited to be opening the course for the second time.
Some might find it ironic that I would launch a parenting Ecourse while also sharing my series, The Myth of Perfect Parenting. In reality, they’re quite congruent.
This Ecourse isn’t about perfect parents or perfect kids. It’s about good parents who just want to be better. It’s about recognizing the parenting tools we can use to do our most important job more efficiently and more intentionally. It’s about knowing your kids and listening to them more than you listen to all the “experts”.
This Ecourse won’t take away your parenting challenges, but it will help you realize the many tools you have at your disposal as you respond to those challenges.
Through feedback on my writing and teaching experiences I’ve learned that the tools and perspectives taught in this course aren’t always a part of people’s natural parenting script. These are tools that I’ve learned about through my study of child development and my experience as a teacher, consultant, and most importantly as a mom. And I don’t think they should be kept a secret.
I want to share these tools with you. Please hop over to the Ecourse page to find out more about this course and to read some of the things past participants have said about it.
And be sure to come back Wednesday to catch the next installment of The Myth of Perfect Parenting Series, Why Imperfect Parenting is Good for Kids!
