Episode 21: Your Mistakes Aren’t Ruining Your Kids — The importance of active repair.

This episode was inspired by a real-life conversation with a friend of mine who was venting about not handling a parenting situation the way she WISHED she would have….the way she KNEW she should have.

But the morning was just too much and she snapped.  She didn’t handle the challenge the way she wished she had and the whole thing left her and her child feeling horrible.  Now what?  Sound familiar?

I think we’ve all been there.

So today we’re going to talk about why these meltdown moments WON’T ruin your kids and what the science of attachment tells us about how we can actually respond to them in a way that makes our relationships stronger.

I’m Amanda Morgan. Here’s what I’m about…

In early education, there is too much distance between what we know and what we do. I bridge the gaps that exist between academia, decision-makers, educators, and parents so that together, we can improve the quality of early education while also respecting and protecting the childhood experience.
