Your Opinion Please…

May 20, 2010 by notjustcute Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

**Update**
Thanks to those of you who helped me out by sharing your opinions. Many of you pointed out some draw-backs I was already wondering about. I’ve decided to just keep it sleek and simple for now.  It was fun to get your input!  Almost like having you right over my shoulder!  Now if I could just instantly get all of your opinions while decorating or shopping…….

I’ve been flirting with a new layout and finally decided to give it a go.  Since your eyes have to stare at it more than mine do, I thought I’d see what you think about it!

I like it, but the font seems too thick and angular. I think it could be softened up a bit and still not seem too cute (of course). Maybe making it just not bold and all caps would work?

Oh, Yvonne, now I’m embarrassed. You’re a pro at this stuff! Literally! I had the same thought about the font, and have been trying to figure out how to change it, but I’m a bit of a novice here. We’ll see what I can figure out. Thanks for the input!

Tough choice, can I say both? I love the new layout, especially the date circles. But I don’t love the pink background and I think I liked the font better before. Still, can’t beat the content, and that’s why everyone is here.

Just what Michelle said, exactly! Love the date circles, but I really don’t like the font, and not so much the pink dots. I voted in the “don’t like it” category.

The red date circles are what caught my eye. Maybe they’re not worth the trade-off, though. Thanks for your suggestions. I’ll get back to the “great content” tomorrow. Thanks for ALL your help!

I completely agree with Michelle and Ani. Content- most important. Date Circles- love ’em. Font- not so much. Pink Dotted Background- not at all (and I don’t have anything against pink, I promise).

I personally preferred the old style.

Thanks, Andrea. The font’s not my favorite either……I think I just fell in love with those red circles. They may not be reason enough to switch though.

I don’t see any change tonight (the pink that others are talking about or the font) but I have always loved the simplicity and cleanness of your site.

I think you must have commented right as I switched back – and was still typing the update to the post. Thanks for your compliment!
