Creativity Matters :: FREE Ebook

May 10, 2012 by notjustcute Filed Under: Create, Learning through Play and Experience 8 Comments

About a year ago I wrote a series of posts about creativity — why it matters for our kids, why it may be disappearing, and what we can do to get it back.  I decided to put the whole series into one downloadable Ebook that you can print or read right from your screen.

Since then, more than 1500 copies have been downloaded.  You can get a copy for yourself.  Just click the button below and you’ll find it in your cart for free!

 Let’s all do our part to protect creativity, curiosity, and play in the lives of the children we love and teach.

Pick up your free copy, take a little time to read it, and then let me know what you think.

**My distribution service has a daily limit on free downloads, so if you are unable to download today, please come back tomorrow!**

    It’s no wonder that creativity & imagination are dwindling! We used to play outside, all day until dark, eat dinner, then go back outside until bedtime (granted our chores and homework were done!)
    We built forts and played with Barbie dolls; we built things with our hands, and our imaginations-it was limitless!
    Now if you have a child play outside, they will look at you, like you are supposed to entertain them…and boy do I! I will teach any little one how to play outside & love it!
    I would love to post a link on my blog for your book-we all need to stand together and keep creativity & imagination strong!

      Thanks, Patti! Your description reminded me so much of my own childhood. I feel I need to work harder to make it a part of my sons’ as well. Feel free to share the link!

    Amanda, thank you for the download of your book. I am working with my staff this year on the importance of play, social emotional skills for school readiness, etc! Your book is a great resource for them to learn more!

I’m Amanda Morgan. Here’s what I’m about…

In early education, there is too much distance between what we know and what we do. I bridge the gaps that exist between academia, decision-makers, educators, and parents so that together, we can improve the quality of early education while also respecting and protecting the childhood experience.
