Worth the Wait — A Brilliant Brainstorm of Summer Activities for Your Kids

Have you missed me?  Life’s been blessedly wild and crazy around here.  In addition to wrangling my brood of boys, I’ve been training for not one, but two half marathons (one last month and one next week — two halves make a whole, right?) and working with my husband to get our house on the market.

Remember how I confessed that my kitchen floor is usually so covered in crumbs that you could bread chicken by rolling the pieces from one side of the room to the other?  Well, now I have to clean it multiple times a day so that it’s ready for each showing.  I’ve learned that I CAN actually keep my house pretty clean.  But I’ve also learned that I really can’t get a whole lot else done!

With all of this going on, it seems crazy to take on another project….or two….but I got so excited about the end result and what it would provide for you, the readers, that I just couldn’t pass it up!  I’m sorry it meant less time posting, but I am so thrilled to share what has been created in the meantime!

First up, I’ve been working my typing fingers to the bone, putting together a new ebook.  It’s a concise guide, laying out four basic principles of positive guidance, along with real-life examples of how they can be put into practice in our families.  It follows the same philosophy as my first ebook and its corresponding ecourse (which is now open-enrollment with all-access through December 31st!) but is a quick read in less than 40 pages.  While it may also be a great review for those who are already familiar with my previous projects, my hope was that it would be a good fit for those who didn’t feel they could invest the time into the more comprehensive ebook or for those who have been trying to explain their own positive parenting philosophy to a family member or caregiver and didn’t want to overwhelm them with the longer guide.

positive parenting cover ResizedYou can find Positive Parenting: the Basics on the sales page over here.  It’s a bargain at only $4.99, though I don’t want you to buy it just yet.  Strange request, I know.  But there’s an even better deal I want to tell you about.  You can actually get my ebook for FREE through the month of May as a bonus for picking up a collaborative project I’ve been dying to tell you about.  Good thing for both of us, I don’t have to wait any longer!

I’m so fortunate to be a part of 20 Moms.  It’s a group of amazing bloggers — many of your favorites — who have banded together to share their collective experiences, ideas, and expertise.  Together, we’ve created a fantastic collection of summer activities as well as tips and resources to help your family get the most out of this summer before it passes us all by.  It’s a beautiful 86 page guide with simple, clear activities your kids will love, along with tips for managing the kiddos and organizing your day all in one place!  I’ll be posting more about the Camp Mom: Summer Activities Pack when it’s officially released on the 15th, but I wanted to let you in on a great pre-order offer.

So here’s the deal.  All orders made in May come with a FREE copy of my new ebook.  Presale orders that take place before May 15th also qualify for an additional 15% off!  So here’s the break down:

$14.99 Summer Pack + the $4.99 Positive Parenting eBook =

I really hope you take advantage of this offer!  These women from 20 Moms (Allison from No Time for Flash Cards, Rachelle from Tinker Lab, Steph from MPMK, Jamie of Hands On as We Grow, Alissa from Creative With Kids, those awesome  Quirky Mamas at Kids Activities Blog, Deborah from Teach Preschool, just to name a handful!)  are truly amazing.  I’ve known that for a while now.  But to see this final product that was created when we all put our best work together was truly inspiring!  I hope it inspires you too!

I’m Amanda Morgan. Here’s what I’m about…

In early education, there is too much distance between what we know and what we do. I bridge the gaps that exist between academia, decision-makers, educators, and parents so that together, we can improve the quality of early education while also respecting and protecting the childhood experience.
