Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

December 24, 2014 by notjustcute Filed Under: Child Development & DAP, Learning through Play and Experience, Positive Guidance and Social Skills 4 Comments

Merry Christmas

It’s been a wild year!  The past 12 months have tossed our family quite a few transitions.  With a new job position for my husband, a new state for our family, and a new construction project to turn into a home (hopefully in the next few months, anyway), life has felt a bit topsy-turvy this year!

In spite of all the changes and challenges, it’s still been a great year here at Not Just Cute, and I’m excited about the things that lie ahead!

As I take some time off at the end of this year and the beginning of the next — both to organize and set new goals and to move my family once again (from a house-sitting spot to a rental spot as we continue to work on getting this home finished!) — I hope you’ll enjoy some of the top posts from this past year!

What was YOUR favorite post this year?  What would you like to see more of?

A few more things to be excited about here at NJC:

  • This year’s read-along was superb, and author Heather Shumaker was absolutely delightful!  Catch up on all our book discussions in our wrap-up post!
  • I’ve also relaunched my Parenting with Positive Guidance eCourse as a lifetime access course this year.  Check it out here, and if it’s a good fit for you, be sure to use the TEAM discount to get access for TWO people for less than the price of one!
  • I’m really looking forward to a few speaking engagements in Texas in February!  I’m beginning to open my schedule to more engagements next year, so if you’re interested in working together for an event in 2015, be sure to contact me early to snatch one of those open spots!

In spite of all the stress and struggle of 2014, I know it’s also been a year full of blessings.  I hope it’s been a blessed year for you as well!

Here’s to a wonderful, promising year ahead!

Man, I thought *I* had it bad this season, but I think you’ve got me topped! 🙂 But I hope you still were able to enjoy some sweet moments this Christmas.

PS. Gave my kids the Book with No Pictures! Success!

I’m Amanda Morgan. Here’s what I’m about…

In early education, there is too much distance between what we know and what we do. I bridge the gaps that exist between academia, decision-makers, educators, and parents so that together, we can improve the quality of early education while also respecting and protecting the childhood experience.
