Get Ready to Read Along!

read along sizedIt’s time!

There’s been such a great response to the selection of Heather Shumaker’s book, It’s OK Not to Share and Other Renegade Rules for Raising Competent and Compassionate Kids (*affiliate), as this year’s read along.  I’m excited to get started!

Tomorrow I’ll be posting the reflection post for Section 1.  As with each section, I’ll be hosting a Google+ hangout with another blogger and the author, Heather Shumaker, during the weeks between section posts.  We’ll be having a little book chat about the section and will be incorporating some of your questions and thoughts from the section that you leave in the comments section of the reflection post.

Ever read something and wished you could ask the author about it — this read-along is your chance to do just that!

So here’s an outline of the upcoming section posts.  G+ hangouts will be announced between sections.  If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, or you fall behind don’t stress!  Each section is laid out in such a way that it can stand alone.

Post and Hangouts will be updated and linked from here:

(*Click on each section title to go to the post or on the G+ or YouTube title to go to the recorded Hangouts.  Links added as they are posted.)

I’m Amanda Morgan. Here’s what I’m about…

In early education, there is too much distance between what we know and what we do. I bridge the gaps that exist between academia, decision-makers, educators, and parents so that together, we can improve the quality of early education while also respecting and protecting the childhood experience.
